Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center seeks a second full-time pediatric surgeon to complete a hospital-employed, two physician practice with a strong, regional referral base. The pediatric surgical service averages over 300 operative cases per year including the full spectrum of index conditions and acute pediatric surgical problems with tremendous potential for growth. The practice has significant support from the adult trauma surgical service and pediatric hospitalists, as well as a physician extender.

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is the regional center for tertiary pediatrics and pediatric surgical care. Supportive services include a Level III NICU, PICU, mature pediatric sedation service and pediatric hospitalist program. A broad spectrum of pediatric sub-specialties, including pediatric oncology, orthopedics, cardiology, critical care, and gastroenterology, and urology are available to provide consult support. In addition, our hospital offers dedicated neonatal and pediatric transport and we are a base hospital for LifeFlight of Maine, a critical care air transport service flying nearly 900 missions per year.
