Advocate Aurora Health seeks an enthusiastic full time Internal Medicine Physician with excellent communications skills to join the teaching faculty Advocate Christ Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program. You will be joining an outstanding group of Faculty committed to teaching residents and medical students in the delivery of excellent evidence-based patient care.

The Faculty Responsibilities include:

  • Patient Care:  Directing and coordinating the care for patients on the inpatient and outpatient teaching services as well as providing consultation services to non-Internal Medicine specialties. 
  • Teaching: Conduct daily teaching rounds using teaching methodologies appropriate for adult learners at different levels, complete evaluations using the ACGME milestones and provide effective verbal and written feedback to learners. In addition, faculty participate in various didactic conferences, including morning report, journal club and noon conferences
  • Mentoring: Serve as role model and coach for residents and students in various endeavors and scholarship projects.
  • Leadership: Take a lead role in various activities related to the Residency Program and Department of Medicine, including quality improvement, patient safety, faculty development and scholarship

Our program offers residents the perfect balance of training in a major academic institution with university resources while set in a comfortable community environment. The assigned clinical rotations are completed at Advocate Christ Medical Center (ACMC), a non-for-profit 749 bed Level I trauma and quaternary care center in Oak Lawn, Illinois. The residents and faculty are a diverse group of energetic and supportive individuals who pride themselves on delivering superb patient care.
