Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic and Nazareth Hospital have an excellent full-time employment opportunity for an experienced physician to serve as Program Director of our Transitional Year Residency located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The Transitional Year Program at Nazareth Hospital is committed to preparing the residents of diverse backgrounds to practice medicine with expertise, integrity, and compassion. Following a robust training program, graduates of the Transitional Year Residency will be well qualified to enter into Advanced Programs grounded in evidence-based knowledge and clinical skills needed to succeed as a physician. For those residents who have yet to decide on a career choice of specialty, this program offers broad based patient care experiences in various subspecialties of medicine that will help them make that decision.
Nazareth Hospital’s 205 acute and 28 skilled beds accommodate over 8,000 admissions yearly. The Emergency Department serves over 51,000 patients each year. Acute rehabilitation, transitional care and hospice services are also located on the premises. A 29,000 square-foot ambulatory care center is located adjacent to the hospital and is connected by a short breezeway. Nazareth serves a diverse population of all ages with varied economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. This guarantees trainees exposure to a wide range of health issues.
